Welcome to

Eastry Benefice!

St. Andrew's, Tilmanstone.

Services

A warm welcome awaits you, so please come and celebrate Christmas with us at the very Ancient Church of St Andrew – our very own medieval Village Church built in the 11th Century.

The Church is a perfect place to pause for thought, to take a break from the Christmas rush and celebrate the birth of Jesus in a place where Villagers have celebrated Christmas for a thousand years – the Yew tree in the Churchyard is reputedly as old as the Church.

Sunday 18 December 8.30am: Advent Holy Communion with Revd Philip Clements

Sunday 18 December 4.00pm: Candlelit Carol Service and Readings. This is a service for all ages with the opportunity for everyone to sing many well known Christmas carols with our visiting organist from Eastry Church, Maureen Norman. The service will be led by Bishop Michael Turnbull, former Bishop of Durham and a favourite teller of the story and meaning of Christmas - an opportunity not at all to be missed.  The service will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Saturday 24 December 2.30pm: Crib Service on Christmas Eve. The children will decorate the Crib in preparation for the Nativity Scene on Christmas Day. Refreshments will be provided.

Saturday 24 December 11.30pm: Revd Philip Clements will lead our very special midnight Holy Communion and we shall in fellowship see in Christmas Day together in good heart and voice.

Sunday 25 December 10am: Family Service: A short informal service for all ages to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Children are welcome to bring a gift from Father Christmas to show and tell!
