Eastry Benefice Flower Festival 2008
Eastry Parish Church, 17th - 20th July.
"The New Jerusalem"
-"The foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones" - Revelation 21: verse 19
Eastry is the most respected flower festival in the area and over many years has welcomed hundreds of visitors. This year the theme has been taken from Revelation 21 and other passages that talk of:
"The New Jerusalem"
"...coming down from heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband with precious stones".
The sight must have been a spectacle to behold!.
The arrangers created an array of beautiful designs, keeping as true as possible to the colour of their "jewels". We cherish and adore these jewels, but the most valuable thing in the world is the Word of God.
A big "thank you" to everyone who made a donation towards the cost of the flowers for the festival and, of course the flower arrangers themselves who produced such wonderful displays:
